Barista training with Global Coffee School

At Makabata Guesthouse & Cafe, Bahay Tuluyan’s social enterprise & youth training program, we believe in good coffee! This is why we are incredibly grateful to Michael Harris Conlin of Henry and Sons and his team Lyca and Gian of the Global Coffee School who provided barista training for youth and staff of Makabata recently.

This training provided participants with valuable training on all aspects of coffee making and appreciation, including growing and selecting the beans, roasting, brewing, serving and enjoying. The staff and youth trained in this course will share their new learning with many more young people over the coming months.
